Wycliffe is 6 miles from Barnard Castle in the heart of Teesdale, part of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and one of England's least spoilt and most beautiful areas.  It offers something for everyone - gentle walks or the rugged Pennine Way, Bowes Museum and Raby Castle, traditional market towns and villages with shops and antiques, birdwatching, sports and more.  The Yorkshire Dales and Durham are close by and further afield are York, Newcastle and the Lake District.
